I heard a sound outside my window one morning. I thought it was a cricket. Turns out it was a chipmunk. It actually worked with a story I'm doing involving the 2 characters I've been posting lately, so I did a short video using the sound I recorded. The story is going to be a comic, but I'd like to do an animated version too.

I'm taking panels from old comic books and redrawing them with my characters in place. I'm doing this to study different types of poses and layouts. I inked and colored this using the open source painting program MyPaint with my Wacom Bamboo tablet. I kept the coloring a little messy by using a large brush and let it go outside the lines to give it the effect of an old comic 4 color print. View the finished picture with the background . My son makes me laugh. I just got my new digital video camera and the first thing I recorded was him giving our dog a "pep" talk about being neutered.
